Jaeger Precision unboxes the Colt N23 CGS GBBR from EMG and CYMA, a compact and niche airsoft rifle based on a shortened M16 design. He explains that he purchased this specific model because its unique, "wacky" look makes it a perfect candidate for an experimental project, unlike his high-end collector rifles which he prefers to keep in their original retro condition.
During performance testing, the rifle shows significant out-of-the-box issues, including heavy oil contamination and highly inconsistent power readings ranging from 0.5 to 0.9 Joules. Whilst it successfully cycles with various magazines from brands like Tokyo Marui and Double Eagle, he remains critical of the CGS system's reliability and suggests that internal upgrades, such as a new bolt or trigger pack, may be necessary to make it field-ready.
Jaeger Precision makes a call for community feedback on how to customize the rifle. He plans to ignore "purist" opinions and transform the N23 into a modernized CQB monster, considering modifications like a Cerakote paint job, a chunky suppressor, and updated tactical furniture.
