Yamada Games: Northeast Airsoft FAMAS GBB

Yamada Games introduces a new addition to his airsoft collection, a high-end gas blowback FAMAS from North East Airsoft. This model has officially become the most expensive item in his household, carrying a price tag of around 130,000 yen. He admits that when the Taiwanese manufacturer first contacted him, he was slightly suspicious it might be a scam, but he was pleasantly surprised when the large, guitar-case-sized package actually arrived at his door.

Upon unboxing, the rifle reveals a mix of sturdy metal parts and realistic resin, staying true to the original French design. Yamada Games explores several unique features, such as the built-in bipod that makes the gun look quite ready for action and the adjustable cheek pad that allows for left-handed use. He notes that while the gun is large, the bullpup design keeps the weight balanced toward the back, making it easier to handle than it looks, even if the instruction manual is entirely in English and requires some academic effort to decipher.

During the test fire, the FAMAS shows some character, proving to be a bit temperamental with the cold. Initial shots are sluggish, but after a bit of warming up, the full-auto mode becomes much more energetic with a satisfying kick. While the magazine can be a bit stubborn to load and the firing performance isn't perfect, he says that the sheer level of detail and the rarity of a gas blowback FAMAS make it a prize for dedicated enthusiasts and fans of the classic design.
