Bang Bang Team Aimclass Alvin Kogawa Switches To Dr. Black Hi-Capa

A secret is shared by Alvin of Team Aimclass when he switched to Dr. Black Hi-Capa in this Bang Bang video. He explains that while he started with 3D-printed components for their lightweight nature, a recent challenge convinced him that a metal setup could offer a different kind of feedback and confidence. He notes that while 3D-printed versions are very stable, the metal build provides a more tactile response that helps him better understand the positioning of the tool during use.

The build itself is designed to be as light as possible for a metal setup, using a heavily skeletonized slide that weighs roughly the same as two 3D-printed slides. Alvin highlights that this allows him to maintain a speed close to what he’s used to while gaining the aesthetic benefits of metal, which he admits is a big part of the appeal. He even kept the frame grey to avoid needing extra coating, proving that looking good is half the battle in competitive airsoft.

He also emphasizes that switching between these two styles requires a different skill set and a bit of a learning curve. With a metal build, the user has to focus more on managing the recoil and tracking the movement of the red dot, whereas 3D prints stay much flatter. Despite these differences, he believes a solid foundation in the basics makes the transition manageable and plans to use this shiny new metal companion for his upcoming competitions.
