Jaeger Precision: RWA Nighthawk Custom Sandhawk GBB Airsoft Pistol

Jaeger Precision introduces the RWA Nighthawk Custom Sandhawk, a gas blowback airsoft pistol which he says is made by Army Armament. He explains that while he usually prefers his compact Staccato C2, he was drawn to this model because it is a licensed product with a compensator and a red-dot-ready slide. The package includes a few extras like threaded adapters for tracers and screws for optics, though the host finds the conflicting thread directions on the barrel accessories a bit of a puzzle.

The pistol features a metal frame and slide with a polymer grip sporting the Nighthawk logo. During a teardown, he notes that the internal components include a mix of cast metal and steel, specifically highlighting a steel hammer which is a step up from older, more fragile models. He observes that the trigger feels a little mushy compared to his other pistols, and the tan paint job is a bit rough around the edges, which is why he already has plans to give it a custom bronze makeover.

Performance tests show the pistol is functional right out of the box, even after a brief moment of drama where a magazine started leaking and required a quick tightening. It delivers a decent kick and consistent power levels suitable for airsoft matches. The host concludes that while the finish might not be for everyone, the compatibility with existing magazines and holsters makes it a practical addition to his collection, provided one doesn't mind a bit of sticky trigger travel.
