Clearwater Airsoft: VFC EVO MK16 URG-I GBBR

Clearwater Airsoft talks about the VFC EVO MK16 URG-I gas blowback airsoft rifle. He explains that this updated version acts like a hybrid, featuring the new EVO hop-up system found in the KS1 model, which allows the inner barrel and hop chamber to be removed from the rear of the upper receiver instead of taking the entire front end apart. However, it still retains the standard V3 bolt and steel internal components, rather than utilizing the full EVO bolt assembly.

He admits to immediately tweaking the rifle with a mix of tan upgrades and replicas, including a new buffer spring, alternative pistol grip, stock, and various rail accessories. The rifle comes with a blank receiver, giving players a literal blank canvas for custom markings, and ships with a V4 magazine that locks tightly into the magwell.

Initial testing shows the rifle delivers a solid kick and loud firing report, which the host enhanced with a winter buffer spring. Future plans for the build include upgrading the inner barrel and hop-up rubber to replicate the effective range of previous builds before taking it out to a local airsoft field later.
