Ten years after the original Incog IWB holster made its debut, Safariland and Haley Strategic Partners have teamed up to release the Incog X — a redesigned inside-waistband holster that trades in the old look for something a bit more tactical-chic. The anniversary edition arrives in Multicam, Multicam Black, and M81 Woodland colourways, with Cordura fabric options giving it a distinctive pattern that stands out, which is an interesting choice for a product designed to stay hidden.
On the comfort side, the body-facing surface ditches the wrapping in favour of microsuede lining — a small but appreciated concession to the reality that people wear these things all day. The holster is RDS-compatible, supports multiple carry positions, and still allows a full firing grip before the draw, which remains rather the point of the whole exercise. Passive retention and adjustable tension let users dial in exactly how snug they want their firearm sitting.
The clip system has also had a rethink. Clips open outward and slide down over the belt, locking in place naturally, while an actuated finger tab handles quick on and off without any fuss. A redesigned clip strut works alongside three included concealment shims — in 1/8", 1/4", and 3/8" sizes — that can be swapped in or out tool-free, letting users fine-tune how discreetly the holster sits. For anyone who has spent time fiddling with holster hardware, the no-tools detail alone may be worth the upgrade.
