A change of ownership has happened with Airsoft Action Magazine with Nigel Streeter (pictured above) who is the editor of the magazine since it launched, taking full control of the magazine with his own company, Calibre Publishing. Airsoft Action Magazine first saw publication under Wes Stanton's Blaze Publishing which already has many magazine titles under its umbrella. Press release below:

Airsoft Action, the No.1 popular magazine for airsofters, has been acquired by Worcestershire-based Calibre Publishing from Blaze Publishing Limited.

Calibre Publishing is owned and run by Nigel Streeter, who has been the editor of Airsoft Action since its launch by Blaze in June 2011.

Commenting on the acquisition, Nigel Streeter said: “I’m delighted to have been able to reach an agreement to enable my company to take on Airsoft Action, and I will shortly be making public our plans for the future.

“Suffice to say, we have some big ideas in the digital arena, where we are the clear leader in the market, and I will be bringing the existing team of writers and reporters with me in my new venture.”

Commenting on the sale by Blaze Publishing, managing director Wes Stanton said: “We’ve had great fun with Airsoft Action over the last two and a half years, but the company has grown substantially in this time, and Airsoft Action is better suited to an owner-manager publishing business that can be more flexible in its approach. I’m delighted that Nigel has been able to acquire the title, as he’s been so instrumental to its success while under our banner, and I wish him all the best for the future with it.”

Blaze Publishing’s last issue was the Christmas 2013 edition, and Calibre Publishing’s first issue will commence with the January 2014 issue. All advertising, editorial and subscription enquiries should go to Nigel at [email protected].
