Airsoft Sports give their take on the famous Tokyo Marui SOCOM MK23 NBB which they have in stock at their store... "Known as the Heckler & Koch MK 23, MK 23 MOD 0, Mark 23 and USSOCOM MARK 23, the pistol is a .45 ACP semi-automatic pistol designed specifically as an offensive weapon. The development was ordered by the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) in the early 90s and in an open competition H&K MK23 won against Colt OHWS. The pistol, deliveries of which began in 1996, came complete with an LCC-flashlight module manufactured by Insight Technologies and a silencer from Knight's Armament Company.   

Tokyo Marui produces this pistol in a non-recoil, fixed breech version and ships it, like the original, in a plastic case with a flashlight / LCC and a silencer. Due to the immobility of the bolt and the fact that the silencer here really reduces the sound, the pistol shoots very quietly, almost silently, and can really be used as a weapon for "quiet" sorties. The lantern shines, although not like the best modern samples, but the LCC works.

Note that the MK23 has a non-standard barrel thread, so either a native Tokyo Marui muffler or a replica SOCOM muffler from KSC is compatible with it."
