GM Tatico features the Daniel Defense M4A1 SOPMOD Block II GBBR showing the bronze-colored handguard and the official Daniel Defense markings, though the shop admits they have a soft spot for the more traditional military look. It is built with a mix of CNC-machined metal and polymer, giving it a solid feel without making it feel like you are carrying a boat anchor.
Inside the box, things are a bit sparse, lacking a manual but including a magazine and a kit that might boost power or at least provide some interesting spare parts. They note that gas blowback magazines are not universal, so you cannot just borrow one from a friend with a different setup. They also share a minor struggle with finding the hop-up adjustment, which is tucked away inside the handguard and requires a bit of hunting with a small tool to locate.
During the range test, the rifle shows off its realistic operation, including a bolt that stays open when the magazine is empty. It clocks in with a decent punch, hitting speeds between 350 and 470 FPS depending on the setup. While the they find the iron sights a bit tight for their liking, the overall firing experience seems to provide the mechanical feedback and "clack" that fans of gas systems enjoy.
