4UAD Smart Airsoft does an unboxing and review of the Arcturus Vanguard series of GBB pistols. They were impressed with the attention to detail that Arcturus put into their AEGs and excited to see how their first GBB pistol would perform. They note the sci-fi look of the gun, the grip which is smaller than other 2011 style pistols, and the metal construction of the slide catch, safety, and hammer. When testing the GBB pistol such as gas efficiency of the gun which they find to be quite good.

In taking the gun apart and examining the internal components, they the CNC machined suction disc and the fixed barrel. In another test, it's about the gun's performance in cold weather, finding that it still performs well. They also discuss the hop-up chamber, noting that it is not compatible with standard Tokyo Marui parts. The reviewer tests the gun's FPS output and accuracy, finding both to be good. Overall, they find the Arcturus Vanguard is a well-made and good-performing GBB pistol.
