As we continue our support to relief operations for victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Central Philippines, we are posting here more information about Operation: Seabird which is an event being organised by  NYCAirsoft, together with Moondog Industries, and Evike.com which will be held on the 17th of November at Strike Force Sports and the 23rd of November at Ricochet Tactical. Proceeds of this event will go to Team Rubicon, the veterans organisation dedicated to rescue and recovery efforts of the world. Team Rubicon is running an operation, also called Operation: Seabird and they already have a team in City of Tacloban doing their job.

Whatever resources that can be devoted to help the victims of the what is said to be the strongest Typhoon on record, to avoid disease and hunger, and for the long term rehabilitation of the areas hit by Typhoon Haiyan are now being sent, and if you haven't done your part and would like to give a donation, click here to learn more on how to help.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

• 350fps limit with .20g BB's for all weapons
• Semi-only capable guns
• A pistol sidearm or shotgun backup
• ANSI rated eyewear with full seal and straps (no shooting glasses or mesh w/o 2ndary eyewear)
• Face Protection (Balaclavas, shemaghs, Masks, bandanas, sniper veils)
• Hard Face Protection for minors (mesh or plastic masks)
• Gloves recommended
• Barrel Condoms for SMGs and rifles (those without condoms will be required to buy them from the field)
• Green gas only–No propane tanks!
• PStars must have semi-fire electronic ROF limiters

TEAMS
Team uniforms will be based on the base color/camo of the cloth. Vest color does not matter. Request to join a group to be assigned to a squad:

• SHADOWS: Green based camo, black or blue, A-TACS FG
• GHOSTS: Tan based camo, Multicam, ACU/UCP, ABU and A-TACS au

Apart from the information above regarding the event for an extra US$5.00 you get to participate in a raffle draw where you get the chance to win one of the three WE airsoft gas blowback pistols provided by Evike.com. These will be raffled by 1800H on the 17th of November.

To help raise funds for Typhoon Haiyan aid, Ricochet Tactical and NYC Airsoft are organizing an airisoft 2-Gun competition. 100% of proceeds will be donated to Team Rubicon to bring medical supplies to the effected regions. Players will compete against the clock to shot at a series of electronic targets positioned in a maze-like course. Players will start the using a rifle/SMG and then transition to a pistol to complete the course. Players without a pistol will be lent one. Each player will be allowed 2 runs and their best time will be recorded. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers.
