Corax Using The L4 Performance ATAK Adapter

Corax shows how to use the L4 Performance ATAK adapter, a mounting platform designed for users who want to keep their mobile devices high on their chest without losing the functionality of a split-front chest rig. It uses a Tegris-like material covered in Cordura and features a central zipper that aligns with the rig's opening. Essentially, it ensures that your expensive phone stays put while you’re busy pretending to be a tactical operator in the woods.

Setting up the adapter involves a bit of light crafts time with clips and shock cord. The Corax rep attaches the mounting platform to the chest rig’s shoulder straps and lower grommets, then slides the device case—such as a Juggernaut case—onto the MOLLE-compatible slots. It’s a straightforward process, though it requires enough coordination to manage buckles and laser-cut slots without getting your fingers stuck.

Once installed, the system allows the chest rig to be zipped and unzipped normally, preventing the device from becoming a giant bib that locks the rig together. Excess straps can be tucked away or trimmed, leaving the setup clean and functional. It’s a practical solution for anyone who needs to look at a map while ensuring their gear doesn't turn into a complicated escape room puzzle every time they want to take the rig off.
