Instead of buying an expensive metal slide, he opted to repaint the stock plastic slide to preserve its snappy performance. The first attempt using a cheap gunmetal gray paint backfired, leaving the gun looking like it had merely been coated in boring gray primer. Undeterred, he switched to a premium metallic black spray paint, which went on smoothly and gave the slide a subtle steel sheen.

Beyond the paint job, the frame received a few ergonomic modifications. A beaver tail was added to the grip to mimic the feel of later Glock models, matching the creator's preference for pistols like the 1911 or Beretta. To make the grip comfortable for average-sized hands, they wrapped it in some tape to beef up the width. Airsoft Cloner also fitted the replica with a flashlight placeholder while hunting down a genuine surplus option.

The final portion of the video showcases a budget-friendly Safari Land style holster purchased online. While intended for a smaller model, the longer Glock 34 fits snugly inside. He added a small foam wedge to the holster to keep the flashlight stabilized and protect the new paint job from scratching.
