Another review of the new Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa 4.3 D.O.R, this time by Tawashi who says that this model features a completely redesigned frame, which aims to improve the overall ergonomics compared to older versions. While it retains the typical double-stack thickness, the grip feels more natural in the hand, and the updated safety lever is designed to keep your thumb from getting into a wrestling match with the slide during operation.
The performance aspects are equally noteworthy, especially when paired with a Baton CO2 magazine. The pistol shows stable muzzle velocity and a snappy kick, even in cooler temperatures around 13 degrees Celsius. One of the more surprising claims mentioned is the gas efficiency; with a standard magazine, it can apparently fire over 200 rounds before giving up the ghost. It seems the internal engine has been borrowed from the M45 series, making it a bit of a marathon runner in the world of gas blowbacks.
On the aesthetic side, Tawashi appreciates the small details that suggest the manufacturer was actually paying attention. For instance, the inner barrel is finished in silver rather than the usual bright brass, which helps it blend in behind the slide ports instead of shining like a gold tooth. Between the optics-ready slide and the straight trigger, the gun comes off as a functional tool for those who want to hit what they are aiming at without needing to perform surgery on the internals right out of the box.
