Better prepare yourself as Star Rainbow Company (SRC) will dump a load of their second generation SR5 AEGs on the 25th of July 2010, which means just less than two weeks from now. Thes have anodized aluminium upper and lower receivers, ultra high torque motor, 6mm steel bushing gearbox, heavy duty aluminium one piece CNC'd lathed outer barrel, steel parts for the magazine catch, bolt catch, charging handle, front sight, 3-piece steel gear set, and oone piece metal hop-up chamber. With all the metal parts you'd think this will be heavy, but with the aluminium use, this might be lighter than perceived to be.

Out of the box, expect 300fps and powered by mini-type batteries. But the increasing reliability of SRC gearboxes, try going for some li-poly batteries to increase the rate of fire.
