Launchers: Rifled vs. Non-Rifled Barrel

OptimusPrime

With the announcement of the G&P Stand Alone M203 Launcher with a rifled barrel, you might ask, "What's the advantage of this feature?" Public Enemy does us a service by producing a video that shows a range test between the G&P launcher and the Iron Airsoft M320A1 Stand Alone Grenade Launcher which doesn’t have a rifled barrel.

Whilst watching the video, please note of certain spots or markers for you to have an understanding of the range of each launcher. The Iron Airsoft M320A1 launcher was able to make the projectile reach just a little bit beyond the black doormat on the right of the corridor. The G&P M203 Rifled Barrel Launcher produced a range twice farther than the Iron Airsoft launcher, with the projectile landing just after what seems to be a red-colour pail on the left side of the corridor and right before the vending machine.

As the Public Enemy presenter asks,"See the difference?"
