Jaeger Precision reviews the GHK G5 gas blowback rifle, one of the earliest in the market, purchased specifically to convert it using the TAP Airsoft hybrid lower. Primarily made of polymer with internal metal components and loosely resembling the EVO, the GHK G5 comes with a pistol speed loader, one gas magazine, and a stock adapter. He highlights its AR/M4-like controls, such as an integrated trigger guard, slim pistol grip, ambidextrous magazine release, and fire selector, as well as features like an EVO-style charging handle, folding stock, and polymer rails. Testing reveals performance of around 1.4 joules and 318 FPS with a .3g BB, a light trigger pull, and a non-reciprocating charging handle. While functional, the rifle is considered outdated and not recommended in stock form today, with plans to upgrade components to enhance compatibility with EVO mags for a consistent HPA gas blowback system.
