My answer is always the same. Grab a rifle with ETU (Electronic Trigger Unit) and Mosfet. The ETU protects you from gearbox jams (i.e. that you pull the trigger, but nothing happens). And the Mosfet protects your internals.

At over 0.5J this can be a bit more expensive. The G&G Wild Hog with ETU and Mosfet, for example, costs around 350 EUR. That's a lot of money for someone looking to get into a new hobby. And then there are other costs like pistol and equipment.

Lancer Tactical makes pretty good and affordable entry-level rifles. Back then, I got myself the Lancer Tactical Evo and Lancer Tactical SD. Both cost EUR 200 and they still work flawlessly today. I even contested the Dark Emergency 2020 with it, while the 1000 EUR weapons caused problems on the left and right on the field, I was able to gamble through with my 200 EUR weapon without any problems.

In addition to Lancer Tactical, there is another manufacturer who builds good quality and inexpensive weapons for entry. The talk is from Valken. The whiskey from this review is 198 EUR.
