In this video by Evike.com, the Elite Force Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS and Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS gas blowback pistols are reviewed by Matt, pointing out their features and checking performance. Both models are officially licensed by Glock and are based on the real Gen 5 series, featuring full metal slides and polymer frames. A notable feature is the Modular Optic System (MOS) cut on the slide, which includes four adapter plates to support various red dot sight footprints. These are the only Elite Force Glocks to include 14mm threaded orange tips for pistol tracer unit compatibility. The Gen 5 frame design lacks finger grooves, includes an enlarged and reversible magazine release, and an ambidextrous slide stop lever.
Internally, these pistols utilize an SRC-designed gas blowback system and come with CO2 magazines, also compatible with existing Elite Force VFC style Glock magazines. The gas blowback housing was re-designed to facilitate optic mounting and sight alignment. The pistols feature standard controls, an ambidextrous slide lock/release, and a trigger with a clear wall, clean break, and short reset. The hop-up is adjustable, and gas efficiency provides approximately two to three magazines per CO2 cartridge. Both pistols fire under 350 FPS with 0.20g BBs, allowing for use in close-quarters battle (CQB) while maintaining effective range outdoors. They exhibit responsive blowback for rapid shot recovery. Magazine capacity is comparable between the G17 and G19.
