Enola Gaye: Safety Concerns Announcement

OptimusPrime

Enola Gaye have put out an announcement regarding the safety of copies of their Paint and Wire Pull Grenades that are not licensed nor were manufactured by them. According to them, they have tested samples of these and have not passed CE compliance. We don't know which brand(s) are in question, but it's best to be on the look out.

Dear Players, Fields and Stores,

You may have recently been offered versions of our Paint Grenade or our Wire Pull Smoke Grenade under a different brand. These products do not come from Enola Gaye nor are they licenced by us and they do not come from our factory.

3rd Light Ltd the company that owns the Enola Gaye brand is licenced by BAM Germany to test and place our products on the market. We have a licenced test centre in Hampshire with all of the necessary equipment that is also regularly calibrated and accredited for the batch testing.

We have received samples of the other brand wire pull smoke grenades and paint grenades and tested them for CE compliance ourselves. They have not passed those tests.

There are various reasons why they have failed, but most importantly our biggest concern is the copy of the Paint Grenade has proved to be dangerous. Various important safety factors have been omitted and we are very concerned about the potential consequences for the user.

We understand that if you or your customers have an accident with any of these products it is unlikely that your insurance company would cover any claim as the products fall outside of CE, irrelevant of the fact that it has CE printed on the label.

This is a major concern for Enola Gaye as we have spent over a decade perfecting our products; copies that do not perform safely have the potential to damage our industry, your reputation and most importantly customer’s safety.

If you are unsure about any products that you have received from any other supplier you can call us at Enola Gaye 01189 714470.

If it is an Enola Gaye Paint Grenade or Wire Pull Smoke product, it will be compliant with the CE requirements and safe to use.
