ASG Olsztyn CYMA Platinum CM.041H Gen 2 Review

Ulat of ASG Olsztyn goes over the Cyma Platinum CM.041H Gen 2 MP5 that comes with A metal body, licensed markings that will please any airsoft fan. It sports a modern look with M-LOK rails and a flat, sporty trigger, though some parts like the muzzle device are a bit wiggly and might click-clack during a stealthy run. Inside the box, you get a couple of mid-cap magazines and a surprisingly old-school manual that seems to have survived several decades unchanged.

On the shooting range, the replica shows off a respectable rate of fire and consistent energy, but the accuracy is where things get a bit unpredictable. The hop-up system appears to have a mind of its own, sending BBs on a scenic tour to the left or right rather than straight to the target. It seems the standard slider-style chamber hasn't received the upgrade many hoped for, making it a better candidate for a backyard workout than a long-range competition without some minor tinkering.

A peek inside the gearbox reveals a mix of solid components and a few factory surprises, like a slightly squashed cable and a generous amount of sticky grease. While the inclusion of full ball bearings and a sealed nozzle are welcome improvements for this generation, the electronics remain a point of conversation regarding long-term reliability. According to Ulat, it is a solid base for someone who enjoys a bit of technical work, offering a platform that looks the part even if it needs a little love to perform like a champion.
