MilSim play doesn't necessarily mean developing skills in shooting and it will also demand other skills as well. Some MilSim groups are going more than organising events where they conduct field training exercises but now they go to other areas such as airborne. Here's Airborne Milsim for you with a nice way to deliver Milsimers... "The skies over Florida are becoming busy these days, with more than just aircraft. This March, Milsimers will be expanding their tool set of skills to include airborne operations. Airborne MilSim is putting on a week-long jump school specifically for Milsim players, allowing them to earn civilian jump wings.
From the course overview, 'The Tactical Primary Airborne Qualification Course is designed for those who have not jumped before and want to combine jump training with modern military simulated tactics. This will qualify the student on the SF-10 Canopy as well as participation in military simulation events. The SF-10A canopy is the U.S. Army’s newest steerable parachute for low-level assault. It is the canopy in the MC-6 Parachute System.'
The class is a long-standing class for civilians, military and law enforcement, but is now being offered specifically for Milsim and will incorporate Airborne Tactics. MSG (ret) Max Mullen, best known for his role as 'Mad Max' at Operation Lion Claws events and has experience in combat jumps in Grenada, will be a guest instructor for the primary class in March.
The final day will include 1-2 'combat' jumps, dropping class participants into an active milsim scenario hosted by Mind Game Productions. The event, code name Operation Varsity, will be hosted on Saturday, March 16th. Team members of class participants will act as friendly forces on the ground that will need to be located by the airborne squad.
Class participants will graduate with their civilian jump wings, a possibility of earning Italian Jump Wings, solid knowledge base of airborne tactics, and will qualify for future events hosted by MGP that will allow for tactical airborne insertion.
