Rock Island Armory has introduced an upgraded version of the RIA 5.0 – a highly coveted sports pistol in the market. The RIA 5.0 is celebrated for its impeccable design and features such as its Patented Recoil System, Deeper Bore Axis, Unbeatable Optics, Buttery-Smooth Trigger, and Two Piece Modular Grip. These features served as the foundation for the development of the RIA 5.0E, a testament to Rock Island Armory and Armscor’s commitment to innovative technology.

Armscor, the company behind the Rock Island Armory designs, says that the RIA 5.0E is not just an upgrade; it is a revolution in design. It retains the 4-pound trigger and low bore axis of its predecessor, making it ideal for competitive shooting. The aluminium receiver and steel slide are still present, but the match-grade barrel has been enhanced with superior materials and slide geometry for smoother operation.

The front and rear sights of the 5.0E have been updated with new optics cuts and plates for easy customization. The aggressive serrations on the pistol ensure a firm grip. The 5.0E also features a diamond-like carbon coating as part of our new patented Armor Series of pistols, enhancing its reliability, durability, and performance.

At the heart of the RIA 5.0E is its Ram Value System (RVS), a unique mechanism that powers semi-automatic pistols. While operationally like the original RIA 5.0, the enhanced components of the 5.0E improve performance significantly. 
Shooting Illustrated praised the RIA 5.0 for its internal slide rails (akin to a CZ75) and RVS system, which together allow for an extremely low bore axis and significantly reduced recoil. The weight of the RIA 5.0E further enhances recoil absorption, setting a new benchmark in this aspect.

The improved slide geometry of the 5.0E ensures smoother operation and more slide-to-frame contact than most pistols available today, as described by Shooting Illustrated.
