G&P M4 Marine Special Forces

Anonymous (not verified)

Before venturing into this beautiful extreme game of airsoft,  I did a lot of research and comparisons between the top or what we call high end brand AEGs.  There is a lot to choose from as the high-end brands are battling it out  in the open market to be the best.  But as what many airsoft skirmishers say, it is just a preference of players what AEG they really want.  And some say,  any  brand of AEG, high end or low end does not matter at all.  It all boils down to how you play the game, whether you are just a weekend warrior or a true blue die hard player who wants the nothing but the best.

Now let us get down to business.

Externals

G&P lives on its billing by having one of the most realistic M4 AEG variations in the market today.  Everything is metal and the finish is second to none.  The paint job is great, flat matte black finish including the butt stock, and no shiny parts and considered to be the most gun metal looking among the high end AEGs. The crane stock is telescoping and can hold a G&P custom battery of up to 10.8V (but you can not retract it to its shortest length, you’ll have to use a G&P 9.6V for you to put it back to its shortest length).  It got a one piece metal barrel with gas tube.  All markings are precise --- clear and clean laser engravings.

It has a four screw pistol grip attachment to the gearbox, no wobbles.  It also has a heat sink motor plate to prevent excessive heating.

The package includes a G&P midcap magazine and a G&P clockwise metal flash hider.  It also comes with G&P quick release metal rear sight and a G&P red dot sight and mount.  The red dot is precise and clear with no obvious ghosting.  Two rail covers are standard and a tactical G&P hand grip.  Overall feel of this AEG is great and sturdy, the balance  and weight is just right.  My verdict for its looks is 10/10.

Internals

Now comes the inner workings of this beautiful AEG.  Reinforced 7mm gearbox complete with metal ball bearings. Sector gear cam chip comes as standard, not all high end AEG in the market today have this very important upgrade ( its purpose is to the nozzle by starting the throw of the tappet plate which increases precise feeding reliability.  Very nice flat gear, aluminium cylinder head ( on par with the best), G&P explosive piston head, and G&P polyacetal high pressure piston . It also features an aluminium nozzle with an O-ring inner seal, aluminium spring guide with bearing and a M110 spring or equivalent.  I was really delighted when I saw the internals, these items are already upgrades for most of the AEG.  Correct me If I’m wrong, but this is the first time that sector chip comes in as standard compared to all production replicas in the market today.  I give the internals a hands down 10/10.

Technical Specification

330-360 fps out of the box or more depending on your set up.  You can add more power by just tinkering with the hop up chamber.  It will hit 380fps if you know what you are doing from stock.

It Can hold 8.4, 9.6, 10.8V G&P custom Battery.

Field Test

I have been using this AEG for quite some time now and it never disappoint me.  It already fired roughly 30000-50000 rounds of bbs and still goes strong at every skirmish.  Power remains the same after all the bbs that went out of it.  The gears still have their  distinct sound like a purring cat closing on its prey.  I can not explain how happy am I having this baby.  By the way this is my second G&P AEG which I love them both to bits.

Reliability

After almost 7 months  of brutal usage of this replica, it still stands up.  It never gave me any problem at all.  I was hearing things before that the tappet plate is the most unreliable part of G&P AEGs.  But I tell you it is holding on.  It will take a while servicing before fully servicing this AEG.
