One Fine Day at AWA Herts

OptimusPrime

Yesterday was not a day to be missed. The sun was out, the heat was bearable, the ground was dry, and the woodland so inviting. It was a perfect time for a Sunday skirmish at AWA Herts, and we weren't the only ones who found it perfect day to be playing there. Almost a hundred friendly and trigger-happy players converged at the skirmish site, which is located near Sawbridge, Hertfordshire.

AWA Herts is one of the preferred skirmish areas East England, which even players from the Southeast region often visit whenever they get that itchy trigger finger. For some, it's their airsoft skirmish home, with its own homegrown team, the AWA Herts Airsoft Team.

It was an action-packed day, starting with the usual warm up games, to assaulting the bunkers, and capturing the downed pilot --- and someone celebrating his birthday for that day (whatta guy!).

72 acres, with a very pleasant countryside view with all those picturesque large houses along the narrow winding road leading to the skirmish site. It's highly recommended for those who prefer a woodland skirmish. Not too big for an exhausting walk before one gets into the dead zone and release all those bbs you can carry for each game, and facilities are adequate enough to get food, pyros, and answering the call of nature.

Rentals are available for newbies and those who do not have the proper gear and guns. But for those who are looking for an urban and MOUT setting, AWA Herts are now running a former hospital in Romford. For 40 quid, you get to play in Greater London, just at the suburbs that is already part of Essex.
