World War Airsoft's AGM Sten MKII S Review

A detailed review of the AGM Sten MKII S by World War Airsoft and this is a suppressed replica of the classic British submachine gun. He highlights its packaging, included low-capacity magazine, and a sturdy build quality, though a loose front sight post required a bit of glue straight out of the box. A prominent design feature is the rotatable magazine well, which can be turned downward for easy transport or to the side for authentic use, offering a low profile when lying prone but presenting a bit of an obstacle during tight cornering.

A primary critique of the replica is its lack of a semi-automatic firing mode, making it fully automatic only. This is a bit ironic given that historical commandos using the real firearm avoided full-auto to protect the suppressor's internal baffles. This omission also means airsoft players might struggle to clear rules at indoor or close-quarters combat sites that mandate semi-auto only. On the bright side, the gun performs consistently during chronograph testing, registering around 290 to 300 feet per second using 0.25-gram ammunition.

Another noticeable feature is the large, screw-on suppressor, which doubles as a spacious battery compartment compared to standard tight-fitting stocks. However, players are warned to tape down their battery to avoid twisted or torn wires during installation. Nestled inside the tip of the suppressor is a USB-C chargeable tracer and flash unit that makes projectiles glow in the dark, though utilizing it during daytime play will essentially function as a very bright beacon for your opponents. Range testing confirms the gun easily tags targets at 45 and 55 meters, proving quite capable for outdoor skirmishes.
