Wyshtech Upgrading The Lancer Tactical Gen 2

WYSHTECH Airsoft takes a budget-friendly Lancer Tactical Gen 2 airsoft rifle and subjects it to an overhaul to see if a basic platform can hold its own against high-end models. The process begins with a baseline test of the stock components, which reveals some expected issues like inconsistent air volume and a struggle to hop heavier BBs. It seems the rifle was essentially gasping for air while trying to toss heavy plastic pellets at a distant tree, proving that even in airsoft, you get what you pay for—at least initially.

The middle section of the video is a deep dive into a sea of high-performance parts, including a brushless motor, a precision barrel, and an electronic trigger unit that connects to a smartphone. He meticulously prepares the gearbox, polishing rails and shimming gears with the patience of a saint. There is a brief moment of drama involving a loose nozzle stem that almost ruined the accuracy, serving as a gentle reminder that forgetting Loctite is the airsoft equivalent of leaving the lens cap on during a photoshoot.

By the end of the experiment, the $210 base gun has been transformed into an $800 machine that shoots with impressive speed and consistency. After some trial and error with various springs and buckings, the rifle settles into a sweet spot of performance. Whilst the total cost might make your wallet weep, the result is a custom-built replica that performs smoothly and accurately, proving that with enough parts and a bit of elbow grease, even a budget starter gun can graduate to the big leagues.
