Tokyo Marui has announced the release date for their highly anticipated M1851 Navy airsoft revolver. Set to hit shelves on 23 January 2025, this single-action revolver brings the classic design to life with impressive detail and functionality.
As an air-cocking model, the M1851 Navy requires no external power source. Each shot demands manual preparation: simply cock the hammer and pull the trigger. This authentic operation adds a layer of realism to the shooting experience.
True to the original, the airsoft revolver boasts several intricate features. The metal loading lever operates smoothly, and a brass percussion cap can be attached to the cylinder, enhancing the loading process. The revolver can be disassembled into three main parts – barrel, cylinder, and frame – mirroring the real firearm's construction. The cylinder features laser-marked engravings, replicating the "Battle of Campeche" design. The grip is finished with a woodgrain paint, and the front sight is crafted from brass, contributing to the overall aesthetic.
Despite its simplicity, the M1851 Navy prioritizes accuracy. A unique internal mechanism and air route, made possible by the removable cylinder, ensure consistent bullet velocity and impressive accuracy. The internal frame is constructed with metal parts, enhancing rigidity and preventing distortion during cocking. A variable hop-up system allows for adjustments to accommodate both 0.12g and 0.2g BBs, maximizing range and accuracy. Finally, a screw-like safety on the trigger provides a secure lock when the hammer is fully cocked.
