Fortress does a test of the BATON Airsoft G19X MOS CO2 blowback pistol where they point out its unique tan finish, which mimics a specific US military trial version rather than the standard police black. It comes ready for action with a threaded barrel for suppressors and an MOS (Modular Optic System) for mounting red dots, which is lucky because the included iron sights are quite tall and lack dots, making them a bit of a challenge for precision shooting.
During the range test, the stock version of the pistol performed reliably at shorter distances, but things got a bit adventurous at 40 meters. The Fortress guys noted that while it functions well out of the box, hitting far-off targets with a handgun is inherently optimistic. To help the gun live up to its tactical appearance, they installed a custom Chamber Tune, which improved stability and allowed it to handle heavier BBs more effectively. It turns out that even a high-quality CO2 pistol appreciates a little professional counseling to stay on target.
The demonstration eventually achieves a successful 45-meter shot, though the shooter admitted that a red dot sight would have made his life much easier. They also mentioned that a special recoil spring is being released alongside the gun to compensate for the weight of a suppressor, ensuring the slide doesn't get lazy during rapid fire. In the end, they say G19X MOS is a solid base for enthusiasts who want a military-style sidearm that packs the punch of CO2, provided they don't mind a bit of tinkering to reach those long-distance goal.
