Airsoft groups on social media and forums went lit up when reports from major news outlets confirm that airsoft YouTuber Gregory Wong, popular known as Spartan117gw in airsoft, was arrested in Los Angeles last 2 June for allegedly posing as a member of the National Guard.

The National Guard has been deployed in cities by state governors to help keep peace and order amidst the protests and rioting brought about by the killing of George Floyd by a policeman in Minneapolis.

It was reported that he took an Uber that dropped him off in downtown LA where he fell into formation with the National Guard. Members of the National Guard took notice and called in the LAPD which then arrested Wong for manufacturing or distribution of an assault weapon. He was found to be in possession of a "ghost gun" a rifle with no serial number.

He is said to have posted bail and have hired a lawyer as he faces the charges brought to him by authorities.

Apart from being a famous airsoft YouTuber, Wong is former Army paratrooper and competitive video gamer. We have tried to reach him via social media to get a statement on the incident prior to posting this news but he is unable to give one at the moment.
