Once the internals are sorted, the project moves to an experimental DIY camouflage job. Using a technique he saw on social media, he wraps the rifle in a chaotic mess of elastic bands before applying layers of green and brown spray paint. While he admits halfway through the process that he might have gone a bit "batshit crazy" and fully expects the end result to look terrible, the final reveal shows a unique textured pattern that actually blends in quite well.

To finish the look, he gets crafty by wrapping his scope in British Army issue "scapper tape" and adding 3D elements like jute string and mesh for extra concealment. He also adds a oversized throw lever to his scope to make it easier to adjust while wearing gloves, acknowledging that while it looks a bit ugly, it is highly functional.
