Sightmark has announced the release of the Strikon FMP 1x18, a compact prismatic sight designed for rapid target acquisition. Unlike traditional red dots, the FMP features an internal glass prism and an etched reticle, ensuring a visible point of aim even if battery power is lost. The unit is constructed from 6061 aluminum, nitrogen-filled for fog resistance, and holds an IP67 waterproof rating.
The optic utilizes the RTR-1 (Rapid Targeting Reticle) with 12 red illumination settings, including three dedicated night vision modes. Powered by a CR2032 battery, it offers a runtime between 100 and 10,000 hours. To conserve power, a "Shake Awake" sensor deactivates the illumination after 10 minutes of stillness and reactivates it upon movement, while an integrated sensor can automatically adjust brightness based on ambient light.
Designed for versatile mounting, the FMP uses the Aimpoint Micro footprint and includes a 0.39” riser for a 1.54” centerline height. The sight provides 3.85” of eye relief and a field of view of 86.5 feet at 100 yards. Flush-mounted adjustment turrets maintain a slim profile to reduce snagging, making it suitable for duty use or compact rifle configurations
