We have posted news about the WE SVD Dragunov GBB Prototype in November last year and we expecting a release this year which most probably hit retailers in late Summer 2012. If you click on the link to the old news, you will see the prototype in the classic wood kit. Whether WE will be using real wood or synthetic wood, we will not care, as we are more excited about having a gas blowback SVD. Here is the video posted last year:

In the nextt video, it is the final prototype before it goes on to mass production, which also means that indeed it will be released this year. But if you can compare to the November 2011 news to this one, we think that there will be two versions of the SVD: the standard Dragunov SVD with the wood kit, and with this video, an SVD-S version which is an all black version.

Hopefully it will be two variants, which means two choices for airsoft players who want to go to the classic look with the SVD and for a more discreet variant with the SVD-S.
