Sightmark has announced the availability of the new Strikon VMP 1-4x22 SFP Fiber Riflescope, priced at €419,99. The riflescope is designed to provide variable magnification and a compact form factor for use on modern sporting rifles. As a prismatic optic, the Strikon VMP employs a glass prism to achieve a reduced size and enhanced image brightness. This construction is intended to offer edge-to-edge clarity and minimize distortion. The design results in a lighter and shorter optic suitable for dynamic shooting applications.
The Strikon VMP features a second focal plane CRF-4 MIL reticle. This reticle utilizes a fiber-wire system for illumination, which offers 11 variable brightness settings. Two of these settings are configured for use with night vision devices. The optic provides a true 1x magnification for close-quarters use and 4x magnification for targets at intermediate distances. The riflescope utilizes the Aimpoint® Micro footprint, allowing compatibility with various offset or piggyback mounting solutions for supplementary red dot sights. Low-profile exposed turrets are hand-adjustable for tool-free modification of windage and elevation settings.
Battery life is managed by integrated Shake Awake technology, which activates the optic instantly following a 10-minute period of inactivity. The housing of the unit is constructed from 6061 aluminum, and the device is rated IP67 waterproof, nitrogen-filled, and shockproof. The lenses are fully multi-coated to maintain image quality across various conditions. The riflescope ships with a range of mounting accessories, including multiple riser plates, different sets of mounting screws, and throw levers.
The product is presented as an option for individuals who require a durable and compact optic that functions effectively across a range of distances. The true 1x setting supports instinctive, both-eyes-open shooting, while the 4x setting is available for target identification and engagement at extended ranges. The scope's design aims to facilitate transitions between close and mid-range targets without the need for an optic change. Its waterproof and purged construction is intended for use in varied outdoor and field conditions.
