Negative Airsoft: G&P AEG, VFC Gas SIG & VFC MP5 AEG

Luke from Negative Airsoft tackles a trio of airsoft replicas that seem to have "walked into a bar" and emerged with varying degrees of mechanical trauma. The journey begins with a G&P AEG that arrived in a box shaped vaguely like a rifle but held together mostly by hope and bubble wrap. After some delicate surgery to fix a wobbling receiver and replacing a few internal bits that G&P is notorious for making poorly, the gun finally stops sounding like a bag of angry spanners and starts firing properly.

Next, the bench welcomes a VFC Gas SIG pistol that was apparently brand new but suffered from a chronic inability to cycle more than four shots without vomiting its entire gas supply. Luke demonstrates the revolutionary concept of actually lubricating a gun—a step many owners seem to treat as optional—and manages to coax 50 shots out of it in freezing weather. He also gives a quick lesson on why cramming the most powerful springs possible into a pistol is a great way to ensure it never actually works when you need it.

The finale features a VFC MP5 AEG that is described with a level of affection usually reserved for stepping on a LEGO. Faced with a gearbox full of proprietary nonsense that makes replacement parts nearly impossible to find, Luke decides to hand-build a custom electronic trigger unit (ETU) from scratch. After two days of wiring, drilling, and questioning his life choices, he transforms the "horrific" factory internals into a snappy, programmable airsoft mayhem. Despite the success, he concludes the video by pleading with the audience to never make him work on one of these ever again.
