Each shell fires all of its rounds at once creating an explosion of bbs. You can mount the m203 on most guns that have RIS or lower rail. These include the JG M16A4, JG M4 CQB, JG M4 S-System and even the JG 614 Marksman. Basically most guns that have an equivalent to a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail as long as the gun can accomodate the size of the M203.
