Geonox Airsoft gives his take on the G&G ARP AEG variant that uses a 5.56mm magazine for ARs... "In this video we take a look at the ARP 556 from G&G. I am asked again and again 'Geo, can you recommend an airsoft for the hall'. Personally, I prefer to play with a pistol indoors. A pistol is small, light, handy, and it's much easier to peek around corners. But with a rifle you of course have a stock and thus a better, more stable hold.
The first thing that comes to mind when thinking of a compact rifle is the Firehawk. It is very small and compact for a rifle. But the Firehawk is no longer up to date. It has no ETU and no Mosfet. The ETU protects you from gearbox jams and the Mosfet protects the internals. I also have a Firehawk myself. I also played it for a long time as it comes out of the box. But in the meantime I have already installed a few tuning parts there.
There is another very popular and interesting rifle for CQB, for indoor gaming, namely the ARP9. This is also small and compact for a rifle. But it has thin rod magazines in a 9mm design. I personally like that very much. But it doesn't suit everyone. And the advantage of M4 magazines is that you have a very large selection of very cheap, good magazines.
So if you are looking for something small, compact, handy with M4 magazines for the hall, then the ARP 556 could be of great interest to you. This is up to date with M Lok, ETU, Mosfet and a powerful 25,000 rpm Hi-torque motor."
