FilForce Balikatan 2007-2 OP: BASILAN FURY

Filforce will be conducting Balikatan 2007-2 OP:BASILAN FURY that simulates a joint exercise by Philippine and US Forces in the jungles of Basilan, Philippines. The opfor will represent the Abu Sayyaf Group -- a Jamiya Islamiya affiliated islamist group known for terrorist bombings in Southeast Asia such as the Bali Bombings. The event will be on 15 September 2007. This is sponsored by Evike and Krukspec.

 

WHAT
BALIKATAN-07-02: OPERATION BASILAN FURY is an airsoft event simulating joint operations being conducted by Philippine and United States forces under Exercise Balikatan. All participants will be assigned to either one of two forces: US-Philippine Special Forces or the Abu Sayyaf Group. Each will be tasked with completing various missions and objectives throughout the course of the simulation. Join us for the second of a series of operations, based on real and actual developments taking place in the Mindanao region of the Southern Philippines.

TEAM STRUCTURE & REQUIREMENTS


PHILIPPINE-US SPECIAL FORCES (RP-US)
The joint Republic of the Philippines-United States side will be made up of a command element plus three 12-man platoons from the Philippine Army Light Reaction Company (LRC), the Philippine Navy Special Warfare Group (SWAG) or the Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) and the US Joint Special Operations Task Force-Philippines (JSOTF-P) comprising elements from the US Army Green Berets, US Navy SEALs and Marine Expeditionary Unit Special Operations Capable. Each platoon will be made up of one squad of Philippine troops and another squad of US troops.


Uniform Requirements

  • US Special Forces: Marpat, ACU, and Woodland BDUs or OD flight suits
  • Philippine Special Forces: Philippine Army BDU, PNP-SAF Digital, SWAG Tiger Stripe
  • NOTE: RP-US Special Forces may not wear shemaghs


AEG Requirements

  • M4s, M16s, M249s, M60s, M14s and their variants

Uniform Requirements
Shemagh style headwraps are MANDATORY. No Red headwraps! No camo tops. Solid colors only (black, grey, OD, khaki, etc.) Civilian shirts preferred.

NOTE: Red shemaghs will not be allowed for headwear. They may be used for death rags only.
