It seems that our friends from FilForce in the U.S. East Coast held their Tactical BBQ event. For those who are not familiar with how Filipino airsoft players operate during long games, they tend to bring the whole kitchen along with them and invite anyone who strays to their area to try their food.  If you happen to find one group in your vicinity, better ask them if they have "inihaw" and you won't regret asking for it.

Filforce is organising a benefit game for a fallen comrade of theirs... "This game will be a benefit fundraiser for the family of our team mate, Bruno (Allan Ceniza) who passed away yesterday morning (10/16/08). Bruno was the 'leader' of the Abu forces at Balakatan Sulu Storm. Proceeds from this game will go to his family. Those who can not attend are encouraged to send a minimum $5 donation to the Bruno fund.

Another Filforce event in the offing... "In the aftermath of a virulent outbreak of Ebola, a third of Congo's population is dead and the country is in open civil war. BALIKATAN 2007-03: OP Zambo Thunder, the third of the Balikatan 2007 Series organised by FilForce will be held in 11 November 2007... "The Abu Sayyaf and their Al Qaeda-Jemaah Islamiyah cohorts were able to again slip through the Philippine-United States dragnet but with a heavy loss in terms of the number of fighters killed. However, Philippine and US forces were not able to rescue the US soldier captured by the Abu Sayyaf during Operation Sulu Storm.

Filforce will be conducting Balikatan 2007-2 OP:BASILAN FURY that simulates a joint exercise by Philippine and US Forces in the jungles of Basilan, Philippines. The opfor will represent the Abu Sayyaf Group -- a Jamiya Islamiya affiliated islamist group known for terrorist bombings in Southeast Asia such as the Bali Bombings. The event will be on 15 September 2007.
