Burger Airsoft Studio Customising A VFC M17 Gas Blowback Pistol

Burger Airsoft Studio shows his process of customising a VFC P320 M17 airsoft pistol, starting with some high-tech laser machining. The laser carves out clean, precise patterns on the slide, which is much more efficient than trying to do it with a kitchen knife and a steady hand. It’s a bit like watching a tiny, very angry light beam do some intense scrapbooking on metal.

Once the laser finishes its business, the focus shifts to hand stippling the grip. This involves a soldering-iron-like tool and a lot of patience to create a textured surface for better handling. It is the kind of repetitive task that makes one wonder if the person doing it has reached a zen-like state or is just really committed to making sure the airsoft gun never accidentally slips out of anyone's hand during a particularly sweaty match.

To wrap things up, the pistol receives a Cerakote finish, giving it a durable and professional look. After all the burning and lasering, the coating acts like a fresh coat of paint that hides the "work" and makes the whole piece look cohesive. The final result is a customized sidearm that looks ready for action, or at least ready to look quite nice while sitting on a shelf.
