All you need is some paper towels, your cleaning rod, rifle and some cleaning oil. I recommend silicone oil as it works good and removes most of the dirt and grime. I would also recommend some lubricant such as Ballistol.

If you want you can put it tiny bit of Ballistol in the barrel if you want all it does is lubricates it but all you really need to worry about is getting most of the dirt and grime out with the silicone oil."
