Airsoft International Magazine Aug. 2011 Issue

OptimusPrime

Latest issue of Ai Mag now at airsoft retailers. Now, a word from the new editor... "Ease down, ease down! That was brilliant, the Ai500 that is, except I think I have some sunburn and I've managed to strain muscles I didn't even know I had. If you came along, I expect you'll know exactly what I'm talking about, but if you didn't, check out the report elsewhere in this issue. Thanks to everyone that attended and helped make it such a great weekend. I have to admit, I was a little daunted by the prospect of the weekend, with it being my first major game as Editor, but I was pleasantly reassured by how friendly, approachable and enthusiastic everyone I spoke to was, and it really was great to get out there and play airsoft with a lot of you.

So, what's next on the calendar this year? We have to put together the next issue first, but at the end of July there's the War and Peace show, which Ai will be attending in force, so if you are planning on attending, come and say 'Hi!' and show us your bargain finds. We'll be looking forward to having a snoop around, and personally, I could do with hunting out a Vietnam era load-out for later in the year. Don't forget the Tour of Duty weekender starting 11th September... The only question is, do I go US or do I go VC? Other than events, I'm going to do my best to play as many games as I can whilst the weather is warm, and maybe get out to a couple of sites I've never been to. Road trips are fantastic, and getting a team of guys together to visit a new venue is always exciting, new buildings, new terrain and new people to shoot at!

As fun as it is, airsoft can get a bit repetitive at the same old site, week in week out, so why not pile in the car, set the sat-nav and hit the road in search of some fresh skirmish action? See you on the field!
