Airsoft CamMan Warns Of Scammer Using His Identity

OptimusPrime

Airsoft ScamMan Alert

Airsoft companies in the UK and perhaps other parts of the world are warned of an email purporting to be Airsoft CamMan. In this "Airsoft ScamMan" email, the scammer asks companies to send them free items in exchange for more exposure to Airsoft CamMan's audience which is large. We received the same email and notified him about this.

If you do receive the email or a similar one you can contact him on his Facebook page to verify if it is from him or not. There may other similar schemes using the identities of airsoft influencers on social media so you better be aware.

Here is the warning that Airsoft CamMan sent out and video of him making the scammer reveal his identity.

*** FRAUD ALERT ***

Within the last 24 hours, I have been contacted by 3 Airsoft retailers, informing me, somebody claiming to be 'Airsoft Camman' has contacted them seeking information and asking for free items including Airsoft replicas to be sent to them with the promise in return of promotion, reviews and exposure on 'Airsoft Camman' social media platforms.

Suspicions were raised, because those that know me, know I will never contact retailers asking for free items.

I do worry though, that an unsuspecting retailer may fall for this scam.

Details have been reported to the Police, and I've been told information regarding this scam has been posted in a Facebook Airsoft Traders Group.

I do ask a favour from you guys, that you tag your favourite retailer here or maybe share this post to larger groups. Just to get the word out to retailers.

Many thanks,

Camman (The real one)"
