Airsix TV: RST Steel G45 Gen 5 MOS GBB Pistol

Airsix TV checks out the RST Steel Glock 45 GBB, a high-end airsoft replica that uses the Tokyo Marui Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS system as its backbone. The exterior is crafted with a focus on realism, featuring a steel slide with a DLC coating and a frame that includes original Glock markings, which is a nice step up from the standard Marui versions. It even includes a functional optics mounting system designed to sit as low as the real firearm’s plate, though you might need a bit of metal tape to keep things from rattling like a bag of loose bolts after heavy use.

On the inside, the pistol is packed with steel upgrade parts, including the hammer and trigger components, to handle the weight of that beefy metal slide. The tester notes that while the recoil is satisfyingly stout—perhaps the strongest you can get out of this specific Marui engine—the factory accuracy was a bit of a head-scratcher. It seems the gun started out shooting groups wide enough to miss a barn door from the inside, but a quick swap to a standard hop-up chamber and inner barrel tightened things up significantly.

Performance-wise, the gun manages to cycle surprisingly well for a steel-slided model, getting through about 85 reliable shots on a single fill of green gas. The recoil spring is intentionally a bit soft to give you that extra "kick" against your palm, though it’s so light that the slide might get a bit lazy if you try to shoot faster than the gun can think. Priced at a cool 2.5 million KRW, it’s a serious investment for those who want their airsoft sidearm to feel less like a toy and more like a gym weight that occasionally shoots plastic.
