We're Off To Ground Zero Weekender 2012!

OptimusPrime

(ADVISORY: Some news submissions submitted today until Sunday may not get posted as scheduled. We'll clean-up the backlog when we get back) It's that time of the year again when a whole lot of players from United Kingdom, Europe, and in some from US, converge at Ringwood for the Ground Zero National Weekender. Over 1,600 players attended last year and we are looking forward to see it exceeded again and be the largest airsoft event in Europe. It's going to be our fifth consecutive time to cover this event as we have been attending this event ever since Popular Airsoft went online.

The event is not an airsoft MilSim event,  though it has some components for hard core milsim folks. Whether you are a beginner, a veteran, or whatever, Ground Zero 2012 has something in store for your playing style. Some would prefer to rack up hits in this target-rich environment, and some would go for the objectives that would generate points for their groups.

As always, the groups "Bravo", "Delta," and "The Others" will be battling each other to see who gets on top for this year. Last year it was Delta who won, and Bravo wants to get even. As for The Others, they're always there to do some crazy tactics and have their own distinct kind of airsoft fun. We're with The Others, so if we put down our cameras and take up our guns, you can find us running up and down the slopes if our aging legs can still carry us.

There will be lots of prizes to be raffled off so better check your number if you're going there, you might miss on some cool AEGs that will be part of the prizes. We are not sure there will be a night game on Saturday, but heck! We always have our pints to comfort us at night, plus the BBQ!

If you want to find us, we'll be setting up camp together with the crazy chaps of Swiss Invaders this time.

So see you at the Ground Zero Weekender!
