Meet the version of Kickstarter that funds wars, weapons, special ops missions, and military technology ---Kickstriker. If you have a great idea along these lines, then you can setup your Kickstriker account, make a compelling video why people should fund you, and wait until you achieve your fundraising goal.  How about that for crowdfunding for world peace?

Being built by three graduate students from the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at New York University, Kickstriker takes its inspiration from the "Kony 2012" campaign whose video went viral on the web and became a very controversial campaign.

Kickstriker is a fundraising platform for activists, engineers and others working to resolve global conflicts. We believe that crowdfunding holds the potential to address many conflicts around the globe by allowing those who care to directly support potential solutions. These solutions might take the form of military action, supplying equipment and arms to those in need or the development of new military technologies with immediate applications in the field. Rather than waiting for national governments, coalitions and international bodies like the UN, NATO, EU and AU to decide to address a conflict--a process that can take years of deliberation--Kickstriker users are funding solutions that can be on the ground in weeks.

The teaser photo above is a project for a Mobile Black Site --- a mobile interrogation bus. Depending on the amount you will contribute, you get mentioned in their thanks, a die-cast metal replica of the bus, a personal thank you from the Heritage Foundation, dinner with Erik Prince of Blackwater fame, or get a tour inside the bus, all expenses paid to Arlington, Virginia.

But if funding wars is much to your taste, then why not help raise money for Warrior Monks to help a Tibetan Militia resist Chinese Rule, and perhaps fight for an independent Tibet.

Since the website is still in beta, there are few projects available for you to fund, or will be able to take in any war project to raise funds for. Just check the website to find out which you will find more interesting.
