This VSS Vintorez Awaits An Owner At The Alpha-Omega Protocol Event

OptimusPrime

For that owner, the date will be on the 12th to 15th of June 2014 when the third installment in the Op: Rising Sun Series organised by Adriatic Airsoft-Alfa, the Alpha-Omega Protocol, takes place. King Arms have donated a VSS Vintorez AEG which Dom is in the process of reviewing, and this will be raffled off on the last day of the event.

This is actually the first King Arms VSS Vintorez AEG that is fully completed and was on display during the IWA & Outdoor Classics 2014. It was discussed by Dom and Bob of VProductions Ltd. (the company behind King Arms and sister brands) that it will be a review item that will then be given to Adriatic Airsoft-Alfa to raffle off during the event.

I have initially written about the Alpha-Omega Protocol, and it will be held in one of the more exotic but very much airsoft-ready place --- Island Mrčara off the beautiful city of Split, Croatia. Adriatic Airsoft-Alfa, under the management of Kreso, maintains the island for airsoft and team building events, with its built-in bunkers and naval facilities, is a ready place for those who want to do some airsoft land and sea action.

Again, the background for Alpha-Omega Protocol. It continues from where the Genesis Project, which took place in June 2013, left off. The attempt to destroy the satellite that controls the missile shield that protects the world from threats of destruction failed. The assault team sent to destroy it were all killed by the Defenders of Freedom. In Alpha-Omega Protocol, the fight will be brought to the enemy, on an island called the Hornet's Nest to gather intel and use a tactical nuclear weapon to destroy the island.

However, the plans changed when the JSOF got word that POWs escaped from the terrorists (called the Island Liberation Army). They have to rescue the POWs, leaving no man behind, and thus, the mission became a rescue one.

There are 6 groups that will do battle in Alpha-Omega Protocol, with the 7th group being the POWs that will need to survive before they get rescued. The JSOF are sending the Delta Force, 75th Rangers, and the US Navy SEALs for the mission, and arrayed against them are the Island Liberation Army, a Special Recon Team and Guerillas that will try and frustrate the JSOF teams from accomplishing their mission.

Interested participants will need to book fast as slots are being filled up quick with two of the JSOF teams already full. Also, for those who are bringing vehicles to Split, they will need to reserve their parking slots at the garage so they can be secured whilst they embark for Island Mrčara.

The registration fee will be 180€ per person with players who have attended one or more of the Adriatic Airsoft-Alfa events entitled to some discounts. The game includes the following:

  1. Transportation from Split harbor to port Ubli (Lastovo) and back to Split by ferry
  2. Transportation from port Ubli to the island Mrcara by taxi boat and back
  3. Accommodation in the military building (you need to bring sleeping bag and mat)
  4. 3 meals – Thursday night dinner; Saturday after game lunch; dinner & after party in the evening with free beer and vine
  5. Lottery
  6. Game patch (souvenir), 3D rubber patch special designed for each playing teams
  7. Water game, power supply, maps
  8. Game fee
  9. Usage of zodiacs & 4×4 car
  10. All videos & photos

With a bit over two months to go, this is one of the venues that is a must for any serious airsoft player to attend. However, the maximum allowed is 100 players and thus, you need to check quickly if you can still find a slot. If you have questions please do send your queries to the organisers.

The Adriatic Airsoft-Alfa awaits the players in June, and one of them will be going home with a King Arms VSS Vintorez AEG.
