Tokyo Hobby Show & More Photos from The Ground Zero Weekender 2013

OptimusPrime

It's a slow weekend on our part as airsoft is relatively quiet on this part of the world whilst our brethren in North America are having their Labor Weekend Sales and some awesome MilSim events going on. Perhaps the major airsoft events for the Summer of 2013 in Europe are already held and thus we are preparing for some slow down to smaller events and more of weekend skirmishes now as the hottest summer in seven years ends.

The end of August also marks what we hope will be another major announcement in airsoft from Tokyo Marui as the Tokyo Hobby Show 2013 will happen from the 16th to 17th of September 2013. It's usually during the Tokyo Hobby Show that they announce new airsoft models which will probably be carrying their new generation blowback and recoil engine, and their custom High Cycle (HC) models. And once announced, we usually expect the release of such models just in time for Christmas so if you are a heavy Tokyo Marui airsoft gun shooter, it's time to save up for that new release from Marui.

Also expect from the Tokyo Hobby Show that products on display will be the latest releases such as TM M870 Tactical Shotgun, Government Nickel Finish 70 Pistol, and the Biohazard Jill Valentine Model apart from their best sellers. Frankly, apart from their M870 Tactical Shotgun, we are looking for improvements in their new generation engine, such as improvement in recoil experience,  and even more models to choose from. In the recoil area, certain manufacturers based in Taiwan are catching up and providing more realistic recoil.

We always dump all the photos we have taken at events we've been to online, and most prominent of these is the Ground Zero Weekender National Airsoft Event, of which we uploaded most of the photos we have. Now we finally upload the last batch of photos most of which are from Masterchief and photo contributions from Kevin Revell which we thank him for.

You can view the remaining photos at the Popular Airsoft Facebook Page. Video of the event to follow very soon.
