Not exactly a new product by ICS has a good line of Galil-style AEGs called the ICAR Series. These are well-made airsoft rifles with the fire selector switch on the left side of the rifle also working. As for the models, you can select from the ARM, AR, GRM, GR, and the MRS series, with the MRS looking more like a Galil designed for the 21st Century.

It seems that ICS is the flavour of the month for Angus as he takes another ICS MRS airsoft gun, the Galil ICAR, for a shooting test and review in the latest Deathcore Airsoft video... Personally, this is the best looking Galil-variant made, whether for airsoft or as real steel. ICS have been focusing on enhancing existing rifle designs, starting with the ICS MX5-PRO, and now they improved the look of their ICS Galil/ICAR Series with the ICS-96: ICAR MRS. The ICAR MRS still preserves the original ICAR features and with the only Galil airsoft replica that has the fire selectors working properly, they put unto it the MRS modular system with industrial grade material.

One thing that we find difficult at enhancing our airsoft Galils is our inabiblity to mount optics and other accessories. This is not saying that the the Galil AEGs are inadequate as they are, they are still great replica rifles to hold. The ICS Galil (ICAR) series were improved which can be a great delight to IDF fans.
