Another MG42 AEG unit will be released by SHOEI next month. They call this the Shoei MG42 AEG Shake Device Model which is basically an AEG unit that provides some blowback/feedback mechanism through the vibration of the AEG engine. However, this unit does not seem to fire any BB according to the description in the video.
More on the development of the different models of the SHOEI MG42 as their latest effort is focused more on developing a high cycle AEG model of the MG42 support weapon that will allow for more rounds fired per second as shown in the video below which should be good at providing suppressing fire during airsoft games... More news on the SHOEI MG42. We have posted about the review made on the SHOEI MG42 Air Blowback Model done by Neo035 yesterday and it seems the French are having first dibs at it outside of Japan as the French Militaria Magazine released a review of the Air Blowback Model for their December 2013 Issue. The issue covers also Operation Market Garden that happened in the European Theatre of World War II.
We're back with Neo035 as he goes for another review of the SHOEI MG42. This is a 2 part review in French, but you can turn on the captions for you to follow the review. The SHOEI MG42 is a available in gas blowback, AEG, and dummy versions and it's a premium airsoft gun that collectors and reenactors prefer to buy.

We have seen the video of the Nishiyan240 firing the MG42 from SHOEI and now it's the MG42 from Smart Team (S&T) that's being tested. Not happy with the rate of fire (ROF), the MG42 got tweaked further thant it now can fire 23-25 BBs per second with a 7.4v 2000 mag battery. Watch the video if you are impressed with the new high cycle capability.
Latest video sent in by SHOEI on their MG42 AEG version. This is the fifth test which shows the AEG in full length whereas before what we saw was the AEG engine unit that was being tested. They state in the video that there are still some BB feeding issues and it fires loud. So some niggles just needed by the engineers before they announce a production run for the product that anyone order.
Another video of the SHOEI MG42 sent by Tomio, this time we go back to the AEG version where they trial the AEG unit for the fourth time. Please take note that the SHOEI MG42 faithfully replicates the original MG42 faithfully, and thus it also requires a gearbox that can fit well into the receiver. Here, you see the AEG unit running right in the prototype test.

Here is Episode 11 of Guns and Coffee by Chairman Lao where he mentions about the old news of the AA-12 Shotgun Airsoft Prototype, which he says was not adequately covered by the airsoft media, which we beg to disagree as it was given prominent coverage, even here at Popular Airsoft. The people behind it failed to follow-through on the coverage given to it, as they have not given updates on its progress. Failure to follow-through would have people lose interest.
